Kanye West vs the Industry

Seems like the good in Kanye keeps trying to reach out, first him pointing out how the record company sets up the backgrounds of his concerts in the way they do, and now a dramatization of coming across Jesus, and how he's been looking for him. You know what, I wish the best for him, and hope this case of Yeezus that he has doesn't last too long, it sounds like the noise someone just made discovering they contracted herpes.

50 Cent's New VIDEO from Album Animal Ambition 2014

So 50 seems to be taking longer than Dre lately, I was waiting for his new album a year or 2 ago, and now it's due out June 3rd. I'm hyped about it. So far all we have of it that's new, if the first 2 singles were content, is the video of 'The Funeral'...

LIl' Wanye The Carter 5 and Might Retire?

The Carter 5 is due out May 5th, his 16th studio album. Do I care if Lil' Wanye retires and is he a top emcee? No. He has been having very weak tracks and features after 2007, anything I've heard lyrically lately was a luke warm feature. He was very lyrical at one point that was 2005-2007, then he dropped his image to wearing spandex, making rock albums and riding skateboards, which is different, more power to him, but I don't feel that's hip hop. He said he was retiring for his four kids, all the best to him and his family.

How to Rap (videos)

With a really quiet beat or no beat at all freestyle, which just means write something small down and practice over and over, and over, and over, without music or quiet music, don't talk over music or beats you buy, FLOW, develop a strong voice, style and sound. You may want to rap along with songs as loud as you can too to get confident at a talking level of voice. Then "write 16 bars (16 short sentences)", 3 of those for a song.

DMX fighting George Zimmerman?... My money's on X... (w/ video)

Just ridiculous, DMX will win first round easy, this is a joke, seriously. He could hold his own against a huge dude, let alone this guy, anyhow, "It's on" (DING) ("RRRRRRR").

KANYE THROWS A FIT ON SWAY AND CHARLEMAINE!!! (VIDEO)

The usual Kanye we all love, no one's surprised, but "You gotta love it though somebody still speaks from his soul". I'm waiting to see how long before him saying this is a cell phone ring tone haha. Apparently Kanye's sour from being ranked #7 by Sway on MTV Hottest MCs in the Game list.

On a Lighter Note, an Upbeat Aaliyah Remix (Prod. by Muslim Asad Asim)

How to Buy Beats Online, then Rap Over them (How to Rap)

1. Beats: well, beats, right here. I've got more in the making.

2.You're going to need an audio mixing program to record your raps over the beats. Mixcraft 6 is free, there's a lot of choice depending on price range besides this. I hear Pro Tools is good, I use Adobe Audition, it works pretty well, and you can get Creative Cloud (all adobe programs) for like 20 $ a month now?

3. You're going to need a USB Mic, or an eternal audio card to plug a regular Mic into then to plug into your computer.

4. You're going to need Skills, don't just talk, rap it with style over the beat, then rap it to yourself, the best recordings will come from "strong flows", so rapping to yourself with quiet beats going or none, until you develop a style or a flow. Most famous rappers started by doing this in freestyle circles and pounding their hands on a desk and rapping over it. Rap along to songs until you can get your voice loud enough to be confident to flow and to record.

You can write 16 bars ahead of time, to it, or just forget the 'bars', and rap however you like over it.

For intermediate: most rap songs have 4-8 bar intros, 16-32 bar verses and 4-8-16 bar choruses, with 4-8 bar outros.

Sooo, you'd be writing 3 16 sentences and a chorus (hook), no homework! (not literally)

5. Most of all, listen to POSITIVE music and keep it POSITIVE, the rest can only last so long, and your mind is your 'diamond'.

5. Mos Def and Talib Kwali

All Time 2Pac's Best CDs

So people think All Eyez on Me was 2Pac's best album, I disagree. Growing up, Tupac's parents and grand parents were Black Panthers, and he had a very intelligent mindset as a young man, always had a book in his hands. I think although the blend of gangster rapper and soulful poet of his later work is interesting, but I think his first 2 CDs, 2Pacalypse Now and Strictly 4 my... have a revolutionary aspect to the lyrics and more so positive lyrics. This was before he got into liquor and drugs and using these all the time and just recording all day like a machine, mostly gangster rap lyrics and about death at that time. I prefer the old Pac, Shock G from the Digital Underground agrees.

ALL TIME The Best Rapper Alive

I came to the conclusion the best rapper alive is, no doubt, KRS-ONE. Once you get into his verses it's hypnotic and at the same time educational, and at the same time he's Muslim. Always something relevant and intelligent to say in a creative way. So here's to the Teacha, the best rapper alive, KRS-ONE.
